Volkswagen Group's ‘Formel Q Certificate’ for the EJOT Herrenwiese/Bienhecke site

Requirements fulfilled at 92 percent (A rating).

The EJOT production site Herrenwiese in Bad Berleburg has received the ‘Formel Q Certificate’ of the Volkswagen Group. This was preceded by a three-day audit, 92 percent of the requirements of which were met, as Friedbert Müller, Quality Manager at the Herrenwiese site, explains. The process audit is carried out according to the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA-QMC). In addition, the requirements added in the ‘Formel Q Ability’ must be taken into account.

‘Formel Q Fähigkeit’ is a comprehensive set of rules from the Volkswagen Group that contains contractually agreed requirements for ensuring the quality of processes and products in the procurement and supply chain. These guidelines are designed to evaluate the quality capability of suppliers and ensure that the products meet the Group's high standards.

‘For us, this is a very good result,’ emphasised Friedbert Müller after the successful audit. Various core and support processes at the site are involved in this auditing process. The audit includes, among other things, a previously conducted self-audit, a product audit and the production of an article used in the Volkswagen Group.

For the production site in Herrenwiese, this is the second time since 2005 that it has been awarded the coveted ‘Formel Q Certificate’. All suppliers to the Volkswagen Group must meet these requirements. To maintain certification, this audit is usually repeated every three years. Within the EJOT Group, the Tambach-Dietharz production site has also already received the ‘Formel Q Certificate’.
